Is Essential In The Workplace
Situational Awareness For Everyone (SAFE) is the key to identifying potential threats/dangers before they become a crisis. Render Safe Consultants’ safety training provides your employees with the tools necessary to become more aware of their environment, making them better prepared to identify suspicious behavior and danger. Communication
Unfortunately there is a cultural phenomenon called Normalcy Bias. This usually occurs during a critical incident where people tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation. SAFE training gives the tools to replace Normalcy Bias with Action Bias.
This training provides a common sense approach to reporting suspicious / dangerous behavior that has been identified. We also recommend the national “See Something - Say Something” campaign that has proved to be a very successful campaign, preventing several critical incidents. SAFE training also leverages social media to provide individuals with constant situational awareness updates.
When in crisis the logical section of the brain shuts down and the brain depends on the intuitive section for direction. Unless you have had prior experiences or training in crisis management, your decision-making process will be delayed and therefore move you to the “victim” side of the survivability spectrum. SAFE training provides those intuitive tools that will be easily retained to maintain a “Survivor’s Mindset” during a crisis that will assist in keeping you on the “survivor’s” side of the spectrum.
